Affordable Multi-platform Cat Tree For Large Cats

An affordable multi-platform cat tree for large cats, it's hard to find one that is both cheap and quality.

I know how hard it can be to find a affordable multi-platform cat tree for large cats, finding any larger cat tree for your big kitty can be a big pain in the bum.

You want it to be tall enough for them to really get a look out at the world but still stable enough that when they climb up onto it, the whole cat tree won’t just… Topple.

With the average weight of a cat being between 7 and 10 lbs, a lot of manufacturers only plan for that instead of a Maine Coon sized feline. That said, this cat tree really delivers on the whole for those of us out there with large cats.

This is definitely one of the most affordable, tall cat trees I think I’ve seen around as well. Which makes sense because it’s an Amazon Basics item, they really do specialize in good cheap options for people.

I was definitely dubious about this when I first saw it, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well it’s held up.

It’s got multiple platforms for your cat to climb and leap around on. It’s nice and tall, coming in at approximately 50″ tall with it’s base being 19″ x 19″.

A carpet and natural jute fiber rope covered cat ladder leads to a condo midway up the cat tree, giving a happy little hiding space for them to snuggle up in and have a good ol’ nap. This also provides a nice spot for them to hide away from the world when it gets to be a bit much, especially if your kitty is a little more timid.

It has two beds up at the very tippy top of the cat tree, supported by posts, which are also wrapped in that jute rope, so you have some built in cat scratching posts on this affordable multi-platform cat tree for large cats.

A good view of all the built in cat toys on this cat tree for large cats.

It’s covered from top to bottom in plush beige carpet, making it a nice neutral color that will blend in with most decor and provide your cat with a very nice, snuggly spot to sleep when they do decide to curl up.

It also has some built in toys! Two dangly balls that you can detach if you need to and a little ball on a spring for your cat to bat around. Amazon has replacements for these toys as well, so if your cat just goes crazy, has a great time and destroys them, you can get more.

The only problem I’ve seen reported with this particular cat tree is that the very top perch is a little woobly. Enough to note, but not enough that people felt it would be dangerous for their cats.

So, unless you have a cat who doesn’t really trust something that moves a bit when they get on it, this shouldn’t impact you, your cat, or the cat tree very much.

All that said, if that deters you from this and you still really want to catify your space cheaply but still have some really tall spaces available to your cat, you can always try some cheap cat shelves.

And if you aren’t hung up on it being a tall cat tree, there are a lot of affordable and cheap cat trees that you can see over here!

I really hope that this article was helpful to you and that you are able to find what you were looking for! This cat tree really is a great affordable muli-platform cat tree for large cats, it’s surprised me for the price.
